I’m Cara, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way to my little corner of cozy.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been enchanted by the world of cozy mysteries (in books, movies, and television!). There is something about curling up with a tale of intrigue, where the characters feel like old friends and the settings invite you in to linger.
Over time, that same love of story and atmosphere spilled into how I sometimes spent my time with family and friends: creative gatherings. One of my first themed parties was a Season Two Outlander watch party, accomplished with recipes from the Outlander cookbooks, a room transformed into Claire’s healing surgery (complete with hanging dried herbs and candle wax dripped bottles!), and of course, a party game of Scottish trivia to test our Scotland and Outlander knowledge. From there, I was hooked. Since then, I’ve hosted everything from Edwardian-inspired summer teas to Halloween murder mystery nights and Robbie Burns birthday celebrations. For me, every gathering becomes a chance to weave a little story, a little magic, and a lot of joy.
This blog is where my three favorite things come together:
